Reality Check: Misjudging Others

21 Sep

We tend to be judgmental at times. Treating people with so much dislike in such a way, we utter so much conviction about them, well, without really thinking where they came from or what they’ve been through. You will always come across a person in the bus or at any place and then try to look at them from head to toe and try to judge them by the way they looked and how they acted.

People try to have this mentality that other people should be like them, should act according to what they know is right and be the person like them. But how could that happen? We are different from one another. Every person has a unique way on how to attack a situation, how he should act. He was not created to please neither you nor me. He has his own individuality. Why would someone impose something to someone?

One thing that is unacceptable, when you don’t conform to their ideals and principles, they put you into so much hatred and try to ruin your character. They are always the one who turns out right, which is unfair. They will attack your personality and disposition because of certain reasons.  Jealousy maybe? Too much perfection? Or they just want to be the better person. Is it?

But try to look at it; did they ever look into their own faults and imperfections? Who are they to judge you? And who are they to tell you what should be done and what shouldn’t be done? This is a fact of life. You will meet certain people who misjudge you of who you are because they want you to be like them. They think that what they are is ideal.

But what is ideal? If you find faults in other people, try to partake into something more beneficial for the improvement of that person.  Give him a chance to prove what he can do. Be the better person, not the worse one, for in the end it outlines who you are.
